Nestcam Update: The wind is getting quite wild outside again so my photography fix had to be taken through the window. I am rather spoilt for choice at the moment with the thrush nest at the front of the house and the waxeyes and tuis at the back. Today I went back to the thrush and was surprised at the difference a couple of days can make. Our four chicks all appear to have feathers growing already and their heads bob about out of the top of the nest from time to time. Pretty soon it is going to get very crowded in the nest. It was a little difficult to get good shots of them today because the parent birds insisted on blocking my view while they were feeding. I almost need a “no parking” sign on the front of the nest!
The last image was shot with my old camera.
