Yesterday, while visiting the local park to walk our son’s dog, my husband headed off on the walking trail while a friend and I stayed behind with our cameras. Instead of waiting in the car, we found a bench and spent some time photographing the wonderful dogs at the local park as they passed by.

It didn’t take long before one very friendly visitor wandered over to say hello. His name was Teddy, and he looked every bit like the cuddly teddy bear he was named after. He happily soaked up the attention while we chatted with his owners for a few minutes before they continued their walk.

Later, thanks to the magic of Facebook, we reconnected with Teddy’s family and were able to share the photographs we had taken. It’s always rewarding when you can give pet owners beautiful memories of their much-loved companions.

Although we only stayed for another ten minutes or so, I managed to photograph several more dogs enjoying their morning walks. Watching them trot happily along with their ears flapping and tails wagging always brings a smile. For our son’s dog, a walk through the park is undoubtedly the highlight of his day.

Today’s images is a little different from my usual bird and wildlife photography. Instead, I’m sharing some delightful dogs at the local park, each with their own personality and charm. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

All the images in this post were taken using my Lumix G9II using my Leica 100-400mm lens. If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to contact me through my website, or follow along on Facebook or Instagram.
