The light today was even worse than yesterday but still the birds were flitting around the feeders so I felt obliged to have a go anyway.  I figure if I can capture them in flight in bad light then I shouldn’t have any problem doing it on a fine sunny day. Ok, so now I am ready for a fine sunny day!

These images are all pretty grainy because of the bad light and the colours are not fantastic either, but that wasn’t what this exercise was all about. I wanted to be able to stop flight on the waxeyes the same way I managed it on the sparrows yesterday. The waxeyes move considerably faster than the sparrows so it really was a challenge.

Mr Tui visited again today but wouldn’t pose for me, so I have added one of yesterday’s tui shots as promised.

Will you stop getting better for a while, and let the rest of us catch up a little?

Umm 🙂 that would be a no. But remember I am just focusing on one subject, you are way more varied in what you shoot.
