Pushing Limits

Today I was helping a friend keep busy as she desperately needed a distraction. So we headed off to Zealandia for the morning. It was a dull windy day, a relief from the heat we have been experiencing recently. It was not exactly the best day to be taking our cameras and big lenses into the bush but that is exactly what we did.

Today’s images were all shot with the ISO setting at 8000 – something I have never done before because of how noisy the resulting images can be. Trust me they were noisy too, but I have done a bit of noise reduction in post processing to get a few to show for the day. I won’t be entering them in any competitions but I am happy with them.
