I am still working on small challenges to allow myself to keep producing images that I am proud of. I don’t currently have a huge amount of energy available to go far from home, so I am having to get creative. The current challenge is to spend ten minutes in the garden with my camera to see if I had enough usable images to create this blog post. The images that you see in this post are the result of that ten minutes.

The white butterfly was difficult to follow as it kept flitting from one plant to another. It wasn’t really allowing me to focus on it. I did manage the one good image which you can see above. After that I gave up and turned my attention back to the bumblebees.

We are now officially into Autumn and as the weather cools, the birds will start returning to my garden and we start the yearly cycle all over again. I am hoping to attract more tui this year as many of my plantings in the garden mature.

These purple daisies are tiny, and the bumblebees really do look amusing as they crawl over them bending the petals and in some cases falling off them as the plant struggles with their weight. These images from my ten minutes in the garden have shown me that it is not always about the amount of time I have with my camera, rather it is what I do with that time.

So now I am issuing the challenge out to you, what can you do in ten minutes? I would love to see your images too if you post them online somewhere. Contact me here and let me know your results.
