We woke to a brilliant sky and even though it was a little chilly we jumped in the car and headed off to the beach with the camera. Today’s pick of beaches was Waikanae and Paekakariki. Initially I was looking for the posts that are in the water to stop cars from driving up the beach but then I was visited mid photo by some seagulls. They were fluttering about bathing within my 30 second shot which made for a very interesting image. 
Later at Paekakariki I was going for the water/sky image with little else in it, but there were lots of interesting waves giving me all sorts of lovely images. I was also playing with moving the camera sideways at both beaches.
