On my last trip to Coromandel, in between visits to the tern and gulls, we went for a drive over to Kuaotunu to see if there were still some dotterels there. We stopped at one spot where we have been previously and found one pair with a couple of older chicks. The weather had turned nasty with strong wind gusts so I don’t have a huge amount of photographic evidence of the dotterel family, however these are a selection of the day’s shoot. Enjoy!
