The sun was shining this afternoon and even though there were a few clouds about, I headed over to the kingfishers. I waited and waited and didn’t see a single kingfisher the entire time I was there. I did hear one call out a few times but it didn’t come down out of the trees. So I spent the time practicing with my extender on and manual focusing. I watched as the heron caught and consumed several crabs. It made for entertaining watching, especially when it dropped the crab!
