Last Friday we headed to Zealandia as it had been some time since we have been there. We never know what we are going to find when we visit the valley but every time we come away images we are happy with and a sense of achievement. I was pleased to have spotted a female rifleman flitting around but sadly she was too far away for me to get a clear focus on. There were many other birds willing to pose for us so I wasn’t too worried. These images are a small selection of the birds we saw, heard and photographed.
