The kōwhai flowering season is coming to an end, and with it the opportunities to photograph the tui from inside the house. Each year I strive to get a better image than the previous years, and I think I achieved that this time. I have been lucky that there were a couple of branches that made perfect perches for the birds to sit on, and being at the top of the tree, they were well used. I have also played around with different post processing software packages that are now on offer, and I believe that has helped me get the best out of my images. Being nature images, there is a limit to the amount of processing that can be done to the original raw file, so I am making it might mission to get to be good as I can, at what I can do. This set of images will be the last of the tui in the kōwhai tree for this season. Enjoy!
