The Winter months generally keep me close to home. I haven’t been out to visit the kingfishers since before my trip to Brisbane. I have either been too busy or it has been too cold. Sometimes it is just easier to stay home and enjoy the birds in my own back yard.
I have taken a huge number of photographs of these little birds (Silvereyes) but I know there are still more to get. Each time I sit out side with my camera I manage to get yet another image I am really proud of. I am looking forward to Spring this year because we have such a large flock of them now that I figure there should be lots of fledglings to photograph.
The kingfishers can wait, they will always be there to be found on another day when the chill factor in the wind is not so great. I must be getting old!
