On the way to the PSNZ National Convention, a fellow photographer and I went on a tour around Hobbiton – the film set from the movie, in Matamata. It rained – of course – but we still managed to get around the set and see all the sights. We had a really good tour guide who told us lots of things about the filming of The Hobbit at this set. I won’t go on about it too much because I would hate to spoil it for you if you still haven’t been. They do run the tours continually so it is extremely hard to get photos without people in them, however I did my best and I hope you enjoy them.
