I didn’t take a huge number of photos on my trip to New Plymouth this time. I have to change my whole way of thinking when taking landscape images, so this slows me down a little. The two main subjects I concentrated on were Mount Taranaki (or Egmont as it was when I was growing up) and the Te Rewa Rewa bridge. I did both in the first hour of arriving!I went back to the bridge a second time at 5am the next morning to get a different take on it. Different light can change an image completely as it did this time. I am very happy with my images, even though they have probably been taken by every tourist to visit the area. The key is to make the images mine and to enjoy them which I do.
