Whitehead fledglings at Zealandia

This morning we headed to Zealandia early to ensure a good parking space.  We got that, but in reality it was probably too early for me to achieve the images I wanted.  The light just wasn’t there and by the time it was I had commitments elsewhere so had to leave. However in the time we were there I saw many birds and managed to photograph some whitehead fledglings and a few adults.

These little guys were so cute and so fast it was difficult to capture a sharp image without good light, so instead I went for a softer approach and I am happy with the results.

I also saw lots of robins and one in particular had a grub in its beak. I have added it here even though I consider it to be way to noisy, it is also very cute.
