Our kowhai trees are still in bud and yet to flower, so the tui are off elsewhere at the moment. A friend and fellow photographer told me they were going crazy over her kowhai tree yesterday, so I jumped in the car, camera in hand, to pay her a visit. She wasn’t wrong they were everywhere and they kept me so busy that not one, but two cups of tea went cold because of them. I am super happy with these images of the tui and hope you enjoy viewing them. I think perhaps my tree is only days away now, so be warned… there will be more tui images to come!
