Kowhai, Silvereyes, TuiOne of my favourite New Zealand birds is the tui. We live in the Wellington Region and are blessed with large numbers of these magnificent birds.
Flax plants are flowering everywhere at the moment and with it we have tui with yellow pollen on their faces from drinking the nectar. It is a great opportunity to photograph tui as they feed off the nectar.
