Flax plants are flowering everywhere at the moment and with it we have tui with yellow pollen on their faces from drinking the nectar. It is a great opportunity to photograph tui as they feed off the nectar.

TuiWe had a cold snap come through, so staying inside with the fire going was the order of the day. Didn’t stop the camera from working hard though. The tui still want to feed no matter how cold it is or how wet, so I sat watching them through the window and made these images.
