Our back garden looks like a scene from Alfred Hitchcock’s movie “Birds” at the moment. There is easily up to a hundred silvereyes flitting around the trees feasting on the hanging bananas and drinking from the tui feeder. When the tui arrives they scatter and wait quietly. I had forgotten just how fast the Silvereyes were until they started bouncing around the tree branches yesterday. I spent about half an hour getting them used to the camera again. I hope you enjoy the results.
So yesterday the weather wasn’t great and my feet didn’t want to work that well, so I didn’t get far with the camera. Instead I put some millet in the tree and invited the sparrows to be my practice subjects for the day. I am trying to get quicker at manual focusing on the camera
